Praline + Whiskey Pumpkin Pie Cocktail
Fall is right around the corner, and we’ve got the perfect cocktail to chill with in front of a crackling fireplace with you and your special someone.
This one is spoiled with the taste of sweet praline, the spice of pumpkin pie, and the subtle goodness of a finely crafted bourbon.
And can you believe it only has three ingredients? Which just means you can whip up another one in no time flat!
Give it a try, it goes perfectly with a warm and delicious s’more, and it also makes for a great after-dinner sipper.

What You Will Need:
Bourbon Whiskey. This is the backbone of the cocktail, so choose something smooth and well-rounded.
We like Michter’s Small Batch Bourbon for its warm notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak; it pairs perfectly with the dessert-style flavors in this drink.
Praline Liqueur. Just a tablespoon goes a long way here. It brings that rich, nutty sweetness inspired by classic pralines, think brown sugar, butter, and toasted pecans. It adds depth without overpowering the cocktail.
Pumpkin Pie Liqueur. We used Fulton’s Harvest Pumpkin Pie Liqueur, and this is where all those cozy fall flavors come in.
You’re getting hints of pumpkin, warm spices, and creaminess that instantly give this cocktail that “holiday in a glass” feel.
Ice. You’ll need ice for shaking and fresh ice for serving.
Shaking the drink slightly chills it and dilutes it, while serving over fresh ice keeps it cold without overwatering it too quickly.
Drink responsibly, and never drink and drive
Praline + Whiskey Pumpkin Pie Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp Praline Liqueur
- 1 1/2 ounces Fulton’s Harvest Pumpkin Pie Liqueur
- 1 1/3 Michter’s Small Batch Bourbon
Directions:
- Into a cocktail shaker, add ice, praline liqueur, pumpkin pie liqueur, and bourbon.
- Secure the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake mightily for 30 seconds.
- Strain into a standard rocks glass with fresh ice. Serve.
Can I Make This Cocktail Ahead Of Time?
Yes, you can mix the praline liqueur, pumpkin pie liqueur, and bourbon ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator.
When ready to serve, shake with ice and pour over fresh ice for the best texture and flavor.
Is This Cocktail Sweet?
It leans on the sweeter side thanks to the praline and pumpkin pie liqueurs, but the bourbon helps balance it out.
If you prefer it less sweet, you can reduce the pumpkin pie liqueur slightly.
Can I Use A Different Bourbon?
Absolutely. While Michter’s Small Batch Bourbon works beautifully, any smooth, mid-range bourbon with notes of vanilla and caramel will pair well with the cocktail’s flavors.
What Glass Should I Serve This In?
A rocks glass (Old Fashioned glass) is ideal.
It keeps the presentation clean and allows the drink to stay chilled over ice without feeling overly diluted too quickly.
Can I Make This For A Crowd?
Yes, just multiply the ingredients and mix in a large pitcher.
When serving, shake individual portions with ice, then pour over fresh ice to keep the texture right.
What Can I Use Instead Of Pumpkin Pie Liqueur?
If you can’t find pumpkin pie liqueur, you can try a pumpkin spice cream liqueur or even a mix of Irish cream with a pinch of pumpkin pie spice.
It won’t be the same, but it will still give you that warm, seasonal flavor.
What are some of your favorite things to do in the fall?
Living here in Michigan, we get to enjoy the beautiful turning of the leaves.
The colors are just gorgeous and worth a drive up north to see the leaves change from green to a deep burnt orange.
And of course, there’s picking apples and pumpkins, plus getting ready for the holidays.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, and our Praline + Whiskey Pumpkin Pie Cocktail will be perfect to serve as a pre-dinner cocktail or serve with dinner.

OK you have me so ready for fall. I’m not much a fan of whiskey but I would certainly love to give this a try.

Isn’t fall a great time of the year? Especially in the beginning. It is nice to get a break from the hot weather although I really mind if it stayed in the 80s and 90s all year round. This autumn cocktail is perfect for hanging back and just relaxing. Normally I am not a fan of pumpkin and this delicious cocktail is the exception. You should definitely try AnnMarie, I think you will love it.
