Mocktail Idea | Blueberry Lemonade Mocktail
Summertime calls for cool, breezy, and easygoing.
Nothing says summertime like a cold glass of lemonade in a mason jar.
We decided to mix it up a bit and add a little bit of this and a little bit of that to make a lemonade mocktail.
We’re calling this one the Blueberry Lemonade Mocktail, mixed with Sprite, Minute Maid Blueberry Lemonade, blue syrup, and ice.
Summer is going strong here at the Worthey house.
We’re working on our tween bucket list of ideas, which has included a few road trips, including one to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana.
Zayd’n and I put our heads together to make this mocktail for you guys. You all know I live for easy everything
. This mocktail only needs four ingredients, if you count the ice.
Whip out a mason jar (or any cup/glass will do), along with the ingredients listed below, to make this summertime mocktail!

How to make a Blueberry Lemonade Mocktail
Ingredients:
1 serving
- 3-4 oz of Blueberry Lemonade Juice (I used the Minute Maid version)
- 2 oz Sprite
- 1 oz blue syrup
- 1 cup of Ice
- 3 Maraschino cherries for garnish
** ingredients are per glass
Directions:
In a cocktail shaker, add the Blueberry Lemonade, Sprite, and blue syrup and stir (do not shake).
Fill a mason jar or glass (a 6- or 8-oz glass is fine) with ice, then pour the drink mixture into the jar or glass.
Garnish with 3 Maraschino cherries on a cocktail stick
Serve.
Note: to make this an adult mocktail, swap out the blue syrup for Blue Curacao.
You can also add your choice of vodka and add 1 1/2 ounces to make this an adult beverage.
Does this say summer or what?!! Be sure to come back and let us know how you liked it, and pin it to your Pinterest board for later!
What can I use instead of Sprite?
If you don’t want to use Sprite, you are welcome to use 7-Up or another brand of lemon-lime soda.
Or to skip the soda, you could use a sparkling water of your choice. I find the sprite adds a nice sweetness without overpowering the cocktail.
But feel free to swap it out if you so choose.
What does blue curacao taste like?
While the color is blue, many find it unique that blue curacao tastes like an orange peel with a hint of bitterness.
This is a great ingredient to use when mixing cocktails.

Is Blue Curacao a syrup or alcohol?
Depending on the brand, you can buy this as a flavored syrup or one that contains around 25% alcohol.
Torani has a blue Curacao that is a non-alcoholic mixed-drink add-in. Feel free to buy any brand you enjoy.
What is a different way to garnish this mocktail?
If you don’t want to use cherries, you can add some lemon slices to the cup or even on the rim of the glass.
Then add a few fresh blueberries to further enhance the drink’s appearance.
You could also garnish the mocktail lemonade with mint for a cooling effect as they sip.

This has alcohol in it and therefor not a mocktail. Blue caracao is a liquer.

Hi Karen- if you read the blog post, there’s a part where we explain the different types of Blue Curacao. There are non-alcoholic versions of this, therefore making it a mocktail. “Torani has a blue curacao that is non-alcoholic mixed drink add-in.” Thanks for stopping by!
