Frozen Strawberry Margarita
Our Frozen Strawberry Margarita is made with a homemade strawberry puree, fresh lime juice, and a splash of tequila. It's perfect for summer parties, date nights, or a fruity happy hour treat.

Frozen Strawberry Margarita ingredients using a blender:
- 3/4 cup purified water
- 1/2 cup blanco tequila
- 1/2 cup of strawberry puree recipe below
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tbsp orange liqueur Triple Sec or Grand Marnier
- 1/4 cup additional strawberry puree
- 1 tbsp additional blanco tequila
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups ice adjust to your preferred thickness
Homemade Strawberry Puree ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups fresh juicy, and ripe North Bay Produce strawberries, cut in half
- 2 cups of purified water
- 2 cups superfine or granulated sugar
Frozen Strawberry Margarita directions:
Add ingredients (purified water, blanco tequila, strawberry puree, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur and ice) into a blender.
Blend until smooth and slushy.
Add the additional 1/4 cup of strawberry puree and 1 tbsp of tequila. Pulse briefly to mix.
Pour into a salt- or sugar-rimmed glass and garnish with fresh strawberries and a lime wedge.
Homemade Strawberry Puree directions:
Add prepared strawberries, superfine sugar, and water to the saucepan.
Bring the mixture to a low boil and continue for ten minutes over medium-high heat; do not break apart the strawberries.
Remove the saucepot from the heat and cover with a tight-fitting lid.
Allow the mixture to steep for 15 minutes.
Remove the solid strawberries with a spoon and place them in a blender. Puree the strawberries and add them to the strawberry syrup.
Store the strawberry puree in a Mason-type container with a lid.
Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Frozen Strawberry Margarita Using a Ninja Slushi Machine
Servings: 8-10 (about 11-12 cups)
Ingredients:
- 4 cups purified water (966 ml)
- 1 1/2 cups blanco tequila (344 ml)
1/3 cup additional blanco tequila (78 ml)
- 1 cup of strawberry puree (recipe below) (216 ml)
1 cup additional strawberry puree (236 ml)
- 1 cup + 1 tbsp fresh lime juice (258 ml)
- 3/4 cup triple sec or Grand Marnier (172 ml)
Garnishes:
- Margarita salt
- strawberries, sliced or fresh mint
Directions:
- Add the following ingredients to the Ninja Slushi machine: 4 cups of purified water, 1 1/2 cups of blanco or silver tequila, 1 cup of strawberry puree, 1 cup + 1 tbsp of fresh lime juice, and 3/4 cup of orange liqueur (I used triple sec)
- Press the power button and select the Spiked Slushi setting.
- When the mixture reaches the consistency you prefer, add the additional 1 cup of strawberry puree and the additional 1/3 cup of blanco tequila.
- Fill serving glasses rimmed with margarita salt and garnish with slices of fresh strawberries.
