A cold glass of homemade lemonade is the perfect way to enjoy your day.
However, let’s kick it up a notch by adding a little vodka, lemon, and cucumber to make a refreshingly frosty cold summer cocktail.
This Lemon & Cucumber Lemonade Vodka Cocktail is great for summer entertaining or when you need something cool and refreshing to sip and wind down.
Lemon & Cucumber Lemonade Vodka Cocktail
This Lemon & Cucumber Vodka Lemonade is the pitcher drink you make when you want something easy, fresh, and crowd-friendly without turning your kitchen into a full cocktail bar.
It’s bright from the lemons, crisp from the cucumber, and just boozy enough to feel like summer showed up with good intentions.
Our version of this classic summer staple elevates the refreshment game. Two ingredients are all you need to add.
Reyka vodka and just-picked, extra-fresh sliced cucumbers. That’s it? Yes, that’s it.
But if you don’t want the vodka, that’s okay. The addition of cucumbers to the sweet and lemony sour is a surprisingly delicious combination.
Get the recipe down below, and here’s to a great summer. Cheers!

What You Will Need:
Cucumbers. Thinly sliced cucumbers add that crisp, spa-water freshness that makes this lemonade feel light and refreshing.
Lemons. Fresh lemon slices add extra citrus flavor to the pitcher and make the drink look pretty without trying too hard.
Lemonade Mix or Homemade Lemonade. You can use a pre-sweetened powdered lemonade mix for an easy shortcut, or your favorite homemade lemonade base for a more from-scratch flavor.
Cold Water. This helps turn the lemonade mix into a full pitcher drink. Use cold water so the drink chills faster and doesn’t immediately melt all the ice.
Vodka. Reyka Vodka works well here, but any smooth vodka you like will do. Start with 4 ounces, then adjust as needed to suit how strong you want the drink.
Ice. Crushed ice makes it feel extra refreshing, but cubed ice works too, and melts a little slower.

Lemon & Cucumber Lemonade (1 Quart)
4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup cucumbers, sliced thin
- 2 lemons, sliced
- 6 tbsp pre-sweetened powdered lemonade (or homemade lemonade)
- 3 cups of cold water
- 4 ounces Reyka Vodka (or vodka of your choice, adjust to taste)
- crushed ice (or cubed, your preference)
- fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Make the Lemonade: Combine 6 tablespoons of pre-sweetened powdered lemonade or your homemade lemonade base into a large pitcher. Add water to fill the pitcher about 3/4 full, leaving room for ice and the cucumber and lemon slices. Stir.
- Prepare the Drink: Add the sliced cucumbers and lemons to the pitcher. Stir gently to combine.
- Add the Vodka: Pour in 4 ounces of Reyka Vodka (or your choice) and mix well. Taste and adjust the vodka to your desired strength. For a boozy lemonade, you may want to add 2-3 ounces.
- Chill: Add crushed or cubed ice to the pitcher, adjusting the amount to suit your chill and dilution preferences.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a fresh mint sprig, and serve immediately.
Can I Double The Recipe?
Go ahead and make a larger batch of this cocktail if you want.
This makes a quart, but you are welcome to make a double or even triple batch.
Don’t add ice until you are ready to serve. Otherwise, the ice will melt the drink.
How to Make This Non-Alcoholic
Leave out the vodka. Replace the vodka with lemon lime soda, n/a vodka, or bubbly water for a fizzy twist.
This will give the lemonade a bit of a twist!
Drink responsibly, and never drink and drive.
Can I Make This Recipe With Pink Lemonade?
Yes, go right ahead and use pink lemonade instead of plain.
Even a raspberry or strawberry-flavored lemonade would be a delicious pairing with the cucumbers and vodka.
Can I Do A Limeade Instead of Lemonade?
So, if you want to grab some limeade, swap out the lemon portions for limeade and garnish with limes instead of lemon wedges.
This is a wonderful swap that delivers a tart, sweet flavor while remaining thirst-quenching.
Storing Leftovers
If you do not finish this lemonade cocktail, you can store it in the fridge overnight.
I run the mixture through a strainer or colander to remove the ice, and then I store it in the fridge.
Removing the ice helps prevent it from watering down.
