Ingredients

  • 1 package of Del Real Foods Carnitas
  • 1 can black beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 red bell pepper and 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 3 cups shredded Mexican cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced red onions
  • 1 cup tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños adjust to taste
  • sour cream
  • salsa

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Heat the Del Real Foods Carnitas according to the package instructions. For added texture and flavor, place the carnitas in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3–5 minutes to slightly crisp the edges. Shred or chop into bite-sized pieces if needed.
  • Spread the tortilla chips evenly onto a large parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Layer the carnitas over the tortilla chips. Then add in your black beans, diced bell peppers, jalapeños, tomatoes, red onions, and shredded cheese over the chips. (You can also wait and add the toppings after you bake the tortilla chips, carnitas, black beans, and shredded cheese.)
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and top with additional diced tomatoes, red onions, jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chopped cilantro, or any other toppings you may want. Serve immediately.
